This Site Was Created to Showcase the DiaSportCamp Initiative
We are excited to introduce DiaSportCamp, an innovative twelve-month initiative that officially began on November 1, 2024, and will conclude on October 31, 2025. Co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme, this groundbreaking project is designed to promote sports inclusion for young people, particularly those managing diabetes.
The DiaSportCamp project seamlessly integrates online education with hands-on sports camp experiences, empowering young athletes to effectively manage their health while engaging in both competitive and recreational sports. Led by Mamut 2018, in collaboration with HAŠK Mladost (Croatia) and MP Sport (Romania), the project aims to establish best practices that can be replicated across Europe, reinforcing the Erasmus+ vision of fostering collaboration, innovation, and intercultural exchange.

About Small Scale Cooperation in Sport
DiaSportCamp is a model example of the Small Scale Cooperation in Sport competition, a European Union initiative under the Erasmus+ programme. This competition promotes cross-border partnerships that foster innovation, inclusion, and sustainable sports development.
Projects under this programme focus on enhancing accessibility, implementing digital tools in sports education, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of initiatives. This project sounds incredibly inspiring! Combining sports and digital education to support young people with diabetes is such a forward-thinking approach. I’m curious to know how the digital tools will be integrated into the sports activities—will there be apps, wearable tech, or something else entirely? The collaboration between the three organisations seems like a strong foundation for success. How can individuals or local communities get involved to support this initiative? Also, what kind of long-term impact do you hope to see after the project concludes? DiaSportCamp has the potential to make a real difference, and I’m excited to see how it unfolds! Can you share any specific stories or feedback from participants yet? Keep up the great work!
