About the DiaSportCamp Project

DiaSportCamp is an innovative, twelve‐month initiative that commenced on 1st November 2024 and is scheduled to conclude on 31st October 2025. This groundbreaking project is co‐funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme, ensuring that every aspect of the project adheres strictly to EU funding visibility rules.

The primary objective of DiaSportCamp is to enhance the inclusion of young people in sports by addressing the unique challenges faced by those managing diabetes. By integrating state-of-the-art online education with hands-on sports camp experiences, the project seeks to empower young athletes to manage their health effectively while engaging in competitive and recreational sports activities.

Under the leadership of Mamut 2018, the project combines extensive expertise in sports camp management with cutting-edge educational methodologies. The project aims not only to create a safe and supportive environment for young athletes with diabetes but also to establish best practice models that can be replicated across Europe. This initiative reinforces the Erasmus+ vision of fostering collaboration, innovation, and intercultural exchange through sport and education.

The project is designed around a comprehensive work plan that encompasses the development of educational materials, training modules for coaches, and the piloting of a sports camp tailored specifically for diabetes management. Through rigorous evaluation and continuous improvement, DiaSportCamp aspires to deliver sustainable outcomes that contribute to healthier lifestyles and increased social inclusion across partner regions.

By bridging the gap between sports and online education, DiaSportCamp exemplifies how cross-border cooperation can drive social innovation and community development. Every activity, from initial planning meetings to the final evaluation, is guided by the principles of quality, inclusivity, and transparency—all under the solid framework of Erasmus+ and EU co‐funding.
